...and inside is not-so-delightful = no electric = no heat! BRRRRRR We were without power until about 3 p.m. Friday, which kind of killed lessons for the day...not too mention water to the barn or light or anything else for that matter EXCEPT snapped power lines and poles. The ice storm blewth in...brrrrr..... and it's as thick and slick as it looks! Grandma and Grandpa's house really took the worse beating out of all of us, they have snapped power lines and a broken pole...and surprisingly still have power! K spent the day helping family and friends clean up their yards from downed limbs and I spent the day trying to figure out how to 1. water the horses and 2. how to clean stalls in the dark...that latter didn't happen until we got lights back. I did manage to walk buckets from the old hydraunt at the old barn back and forth...my arms ache and I consider myself in fairly good shape! LOL..BUT the horses HAD water! So here's some pictures of what it looked like around our place...lots of people have it worse, they'll be without power for a week! wow! Anyway, below is a strawbale...
This is our young oak tree in front of the house...
