Stamptacular Sunday Challenge: Weaving

This week on the Stamptacular Sunday Challenge, the challenge is to incorporate weaving into your paper project. We have two sponsors this week:
Sassy Studio's Designs is donating 4 images!
and
Emma from Stampin' Up is donating Stampin' Up Tall Tales 12" Designer Paper Pack
For my project this week I decided on a woven heart basket, I remember making these as an elementary school student at my grandmother's for something to do on a long weekend. I will say the thinner the paper the easier it is too make... I created my heart basket using this template from Handwoven Magazine. After the basket was completed, I decided to ink the edges and the weave and added a snowflake I cut out with my Cricut (Joys of the Season Cart) and then stamped in with a background text stamp (Paper Trey Ink). I then added my sentiment and my icicles which have been glittered... thanks for looking and I hope you had a wonderful holiday weekend!

Recipe:
  • Stamps: Paper Trey Ink; text background, Stocking Stuffer
  • Paper: Joann's
  • Punches: Martha Stewart; Icicle border punch, Branches and smaller snowflake, Cricut; Joys of the Season Cart for the Large snowflake
  • Other: Ribbon, Rhinestones, Glitter

Digital Tuesday Challenge #34: Thank You

If you are in the US, you are probably preparing for Thanksgiving. This last weekend we celebrated 3X and we will celebrate again on the actual Thanksgiving day...at a horse show! I think I'm going to have to go on a major diet after Thursday! Too much good food! LOL

Anyway, this week on the Digital Tuesday Challenge, our challenge was to create a thank you card, our sponsor this week is Creations by Penny.

For my card, I couldn't resist this happy image of this little girl (image by Mo Manning). I colored her in with my Copics, and while this card is fairly simple, I thought it needed a little Oompf...so I added glitter along my border, my sentiment and the heart on the sentiment. This was accomplished by running my paper through my Xyron and then adding my glitter on top. I hope this inspires and have a fabulous Thanksgiving!
Recipe:
  • Stamps: Digital by Mo Manning, Sentiment by Close To My Heart
  • Paper: All Stampin Up
  • Punches: Circle by EK Success, Border by Fiskars, Heart by Martha Stewart (border punch)
  • Other: Glitter, Xyron, Cuttlebug Swirls, Copics, Pop Dots

Stamptacular Sunday Challenge: Naturetacular!

This week at the Stamptacular Sunday Challenge the challenge is Naturetacular! Create a card or other project that reminds you of being outside, using only natural colors you'd find in the fall.

You'll definately want to enter for this weeks prize, 4 Magnolia stamps by Cute Stamps and Cards!

I wanted a clean and simple card this time around and tiled my card (which was inspired by the brick project on Splitcoast Stampers). I stamped my image on my cardstock and I cut it apart and placed it on my card, I then stamped, xyroned and glittered my bird. I then added my string (which WAS white, I colored it with a Copic so it would match my paper) and sentiment. I hope you enjoy, thanks for joining me this week and I hope to see your project on the Stamptacular Sunday Challenge!

Recipe:
  • Stamps: Inque Boutique, Paper Trey Ink
  • Paper: Joann's
  • Ink: Tim Holtz Antique Paper
  • Other: String (colored with Copics), glitter by Martha Stewart

Did you enter? Good chance of winning!

Did you enter into this weeks Stamptacular Sunday Challenge? This is an excellent opportunity for you to win a $25 gift certificate to Simon Say Stamp! All you have to do is make a card (see this post HERE for the details)...so whatcha waiting for?

This week on the Digital Tuesday Challenge we have a color challenge; purple, white, gold/silver. Our sponsor this week is Cute Daisy May who will let our challenge winner pick 5 sheets of images as their prize...pretty neat!

This week for my card, I decided to go 3-D, I started with my icicles and pop dotted them off of my card, and then I made my snowflake 3-D by bending my snowflake punchies in 1/2 and gluing them together (there is 3 altogether there). I then added stickled to give my card a little punch, I just love this image by Mo Manning with this girl and her dog sledding...don't they look like they are having fun? Thanks for looking and happy crafting!

Since we've both been sick and our anniversary was 2 days ago (celebrated with take out chinese and Nyquil...LOL)...I'm going to try and do a little something special for him today...IF I can pull it off..we shall see how our days goes...hmmm.... ok, back to our regularly scheduled program..

This week on the Digital Tuesday Challenge our challenge was to get ready for Christmas! Our sponsor this week is the talented Dustin Pike (be sure to stalk his blog, he gives GREAT freebies away!) I love to make special packaging for Christmas, so I decided to make a fun little bag, I know I used this same image for last weeks challenge, but when I made this bag I was STILL under the flu mojo-sucker influence...so you'll have to BEAR with me!

Thanks for looking...recipe IS below today!

Digital Tuesday Challenge Flowers: Snowflower

This week on the Digital Tuesday Challenge our challenge was to incorporate flowers onto our project. Our sponsor this week is Fred She Said and our winner gets a $10 gift certificate to their store!
Now I have to admit, I've been dying to use this image since I purchased it...it's just toooooo sweet! So I decided to make "snow"flowers to meet this weeks challenge. I layered two pink flowers (and inked the edges) and then added a snowflake on top with a dew drop to make my "snow"flowers.

Stamptacular Sunday Challenge #31: Friends

This week on the Stamptacular Sunday Challenge our challenge is FRIENDS with a twist...make your own DP!

Our sponsor this week is our own Liza with this adorable Cuttlebug Embossing Folder, just in time for our winter holidays AND Doodlestreet with a Digital Image of the winners choice!

I decided for this challenge I would make a gift for a friend...a notepad cover. You can get the template I used HERE.

I made the dp I used for the butterflies...I then punched them out and GLITTERED them. I placed them on the dp I made with the swirls that I had layered and stitched!

I finished my project with a punched sentiment and organza ribbon.

I then stamped a flourish and my sentiment on the inside. This was an easy, quick and inexpensive project and I can see that these would make nice holiday gifts!

Recipe:
  • Stamps: Papertrey Ink Fancy Flourishes and Texts Background. Studio G Sentiment
  • Ink: Tim Holtz Antique Photo
  • Template: Nichole Heady
  • Paper: dp by Imagenisce, Studio GSC
  • Punches: Martha Stewart
  • Other: Organza Ribbon, Glitter, Stitching
