The worst thing that could happen, did on Friday, I lost my beloved Spanky in an unfortunate accident. I can say his passing was swift, I don't think he had any pain and I was there with him in his last moments. He was only 5 and I can't believe was a HUGE void he has left in this household. He was my Wal-Mart greeter at our barn, always friendly, wagging his tail, loved everyone and made sure everyone loved him...charmed their pants off, he did! He was my snuggler, always following me around the house and settling in next to me when I sat or laid down. He was a talker too, he'd woof to show you his pleasure or displeasure or to get you to give him something. He has many nicknames, but the one most often used was Doodle...short for Spanky Doodle...this is something my MIL started calling him as a puppy and it just took. Below is a picture of him in the backseat from our Denver vacation over Christmas...he was quite comfy back there!
Spanky, my little man, may you always get the armchair, always have the ball and enjoy chasing whatever small animal you may find as you crossed Rainbow Bridge. You have left a void in this household that will be very hard to fill.
We love and miss you lil Doodle, someday I hope to meet with you again!
